Belgium splits organisation between the Red Cross in Wallonia and Brussels and the Flemish Red Cross in Flanders. Fixed centres mix with workplace and municipal drives.
The country collects close to 400,000 donations per year for university hospitals and general clinics; O negative and platelets are closely monitored.
Donation is voluntary and free; Brussels and Liège offer denser site coverage than rural areas.
