In Bogotá, Colombia, a pedestrian attempting to illegally enter the TransMilenio system was hit by a motorcyclist who also invaded the exclusive bus lane. Both parties were injured; the motorcyclist remained on the exclusive lane while the pedestrian, along with three others, got up and continued toward the station.
During the first quarter of 2026, 17% of TransMilenio users were caught fare evading, resulting in a fine of 233,454 Colombian pesos. We encourage the community to support the victims and hospitals by donating blood at the blood donation centers in Bogotá.
