Emergencies in Cali on 18/08/2026

On August 10, 2026, a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Colombia, causing the collapse of the tower at the Hospital Universitario del Valle in Cali. After a week of intensive search efforts, rescuers recovered the last five bodies of patients and companions trapped in the collapsed structure.

The mayor, Alejandro Eder, announced that the search at this location has concluded, and efforts are now focused on three other affected areas.
