Emergencies in Landázuri on 25/09/2026

On September 25, 2026, an explosion took place at a coal mine in the El Carmen area, municipality of Landázuri, Santander, Colombia. This tragic incident resulted in the deaths of four individuals. Two victims were recovered by local mining rescuers, while the bodies of the other two remain trapped inside the mine shaft.

Authorities are investigating the causes of the explosion and have dispatched rescue and safety teams from the National Mining Agency to assist in body recovery efforts.
