On August 27, 2026, two women died in a traffic accident in Pune, India. A speeding car rear-ended the scooter they were riding on Baramati MIDC-Pencil Chowk road near Hirakani Godown.
The victims, Sangita Pradeep Londhe, 38, and Manisha Baban Shinde, 43, were employees of a private company in Baramati. The driver of the car, Shubham Shivaji Khamkar, has been charged with reckless and negligent driving. The investigation is ongoing.
